My Experience With Red Yeast Rice
& How I Finally Lowered My Cholesterol Levels!

After A 2-YEAR Struggle, Here's What I Discovered...
What Worked & What Didn't

Hi, My name is Brad. Those of you who have followed some of my articles and blog posts, or on my Twitter account... know that I've had a heck of a time with my cholesterol levels. Two years ago my cholesterol was 278 - which is pretty high. Normal is 200 or less.

But hey, I have an excuse ... I have a "family history" of it on my mother's side. :-)

Summary of Results

Drugs First - NO WAY!

My doctor quickly wanted to put me on a prescription statin drug when I got my test results. I said no way!... "let me try to do something natural first." He tried to use some scare tactics (which actually did get me worried)... But, I stuck to my plan of "nature first" because I already saw the horrible side-effects statin drugs had on my mom (muscle and joint pain, memory loss, fatigue, etc.).

Diet & Exercise - It Worked, Almost...

That day I went home and did a lot of research online about life-style changes, different diets and so forth. I ended up going with the modified Paleolithic Diet. Basically, it's like eating similar to our cave-man ancestor diet.

I tried not to eat any packaged foods basically. Not all the time, but the majority of the time. Lots of vegetables of course.

Also, I started exercising more often... walking 30 minutes, 3-4x a week. Actually, I was exercising before, just not consistently. But now, I'm on a mission to prove my doctor wrong!

Results After 3 Months: Cholesterol = 256

Back To Drugs, Unfortunately...

I couldn't fight my doc anymore and at this point, he put me on a prescription statin drug at 40 mgs daily. I felt fine the first 3-4 weeks... but then, I started to feel really weak when exercising and because of this, I exercised LESS (not a good move).

I had other side-effects (memory problems, feeling tired, not happy, etc.). But, I put up with it. I guess it's part of getting older, -------right?... Anyway, it was time for another blood test.

Results After 2 Months: Cholesterol = 237

MORE Drugs, NO WAY!....

Well, 41 total point drop is a lot, but it's still no where near 200. We were both surprised that the drug didn't lower levels even more. So, my doctor wanted to increase the dose to 80 mgs daily and I said NO WAY!!!

I already feel like "junk", this isn't worth it. I'm not enjoying life anymore. Everything was slowly getting worse, especially my mood and even my libido.

I actually started to FEEL OLD! =(((

Nature's Secret Cholesterol Killer

After a couple weeks of researching Google, looking on forums and asking around, it seems that an all natural ingredient called Red Yeast Rice works similar to these prescription drugs, but without the typical side-effects. This was great news!...

WARNING

Make sure that any red yeast rice you consume has the potentially toxic by-product “citrinin” REMOVED from the fermentation process. And you want to ONLY use the “extract” form of red yeast rice.

Anyway I started using it and added in some fish oil as well.

Results After 2 Months: Cholesterol = 228

Still not close to 200, but getting closer and no real negative effects.

More Research, More Ingredients - I've Almost Cracked The Code!

I was slowly turning into a mad scientist, wanting to find an all natural solution and more so, to prove my doctor wrong! Yeah, it's petty... but, the end result is better health, no drugs or side-effects.

I did a lot more research and found about half a dozen scientifically proven ingredients that help improve cholesterol levels. So, I also started taking:

  • Co-Q10
  • Policosanol
  • Garlic Extract
  • Pantethine
  • Artichoke Leaf Extract
  • Phytosterols Complex
Results After 3 Months: Cholesterol = 217

I'm getting closer... I feel like I'm about to crack a secret code. I'm really excited at this point. Heck, maybe Oprah will interview me one day or even better, I'll be on the Dr. Oz Show!

.... hehe... okay, well... I'm kinda kidding... but that would be cool, right?...

The Perfect Formula Already Exists - DANG IT!!! =(

Well, just when I thought I was about to discover a miracle formula, I saw a Television interview with Dr. Sam Robbins about cholesterol myths, heart disease, the causes and solutions.

It was a fascinating interview, he really knew his stuff and yet, kept the information simple to understand.

But anyway, as it turns out he already HAS this "Perfect Formula" in a product called CholesLo. It has all the ingredients that I mentioned and found during my own research, plus lots of other good ones.

Here are some highlights about CholesLo:

  • It's a complete, all-in-one solution -- lowers cholesterol, optimizes HDL/LDL ratios, lower triglycerides and Homocysteine levels too.
  • It also cleanses your liver, where cholesterol problems first start.
  • Over 12 years of proven results and hundreds of users - so, you know it works. Best of all for me, it was convenient. It was everything I needed in one, small capsule. So, it saved me a lot of money as well.

CholesLo worked for me because the last check up my cholesterol levels were 197 and my doctor was finally happy - even though he's still skeptical.

What YOU Should Do Next...

While you can spend the next two weeks or even just the next two hours reading and researching, at some point you are going to have to make a decision. It is one that could change your life and should not be taken lightly, but you do NOT want to be one of those people who sit on the fence, thinking about doing something. No more excuses about not being able to do it.

Red Yeast Rice does work. But it should  NOT be used alone, because it works better with a few other key ingredients (synergy!).

Think about it. Just like you don’t eat only broccoli for best health, you don’t want to use only one herb or nutrient either.

What you should do next is Click HERE and give CholesLo® a try. Watch their free video and and read all the Reviews  too… Whatever you do, don’t take prescription drugs because long-term negative effects and habit forming side-effects is NOT worth it.

I am 38 years old, in decent shape and weigh 143 lbs. I eat healthy, and exercise regularly. But, unfortunately I have inherited high cholesterol (my father has high cholesterol also). My total cholesterol is 287, with the LDL being 171.

I checked out the CholesLo website (I'm glad to see all the positive reviews) to see how to use the product. They recommend 2 capsules, 2x daily. Do you suggest I start with that or a higher dose? Thanks!

Hi Gracelyn, thanks for your post. That's the dosage I used to get my results. You may need a higher dose, but I suggest you first start with the recommended dosage and see what results you get. If after 3 months it's not as low as you need it to be, then think about increasing the dose to 5 or maybe even 6 a day.

Thanks for sharing your results Brad. I've been on a statin drug for about 3 years, can I just get off of that and get on CholesLo instead?

You're very welcome =) ... I saw many people and reviews from users that had positive results getting off the statins and on CholesLo. But, my suggestion is to make sure you first speak with your doctor before you get off your prescription drug.

Most doctors don't like "natural" alternatives, but maybe your doctor is open minded. But, check with your doc first. Good luck!

Brad!!!! I'm so glad I ran into your post :) I ran into similar problems like you had and I'm sure, many of your readers. I'm a total believer in choleslo. I had tried so many things and choleslo was the winner.

Great company, great support. I even recorded a review for them because they've always been so helpful with me. Hope you don't mind if I post the video here

Wow, really nice video Scott - it says it all. Maybe I should do one also?... That can be very helpful to others. Did you use a special camera like your phone or something built into your computer? I'm not a "tech" guy.

Thanks, I am glad that you lowered your Cholesterol, my question is what exactly is CholesLo? It it a pill or powder or special diet?

    • Brad says:
      October 10, 2014 at 8:07 pm

It's an all natural capsule that contains organic herbs, vitamins, minerals and amino acids - which when used in the correct dosage, it can dramatically improve and help create healthy cholesterol levels.

But what I like most about it is that CholesLo doesn't only improve your cholesterol levels, it also improves your HDL/LDL levels, reduces inflammation, homocysteine levels and it cleanses your liver too. So, it's like a "super vitamin" for total heart health.

Can you please let me know how long will CholesLo last me? ... HOW MANY pills?

    • Brad says:
      October 11, 2014 at at 10:18 pm

There are 80 capsules in each bottle and it's a 30 day supply when used as suggested. 4 capsules daily, with the weekends off.

What if the product does not work? Is there any guarantee? I'm tired of trying products that don't work.

    • Brad says:
      October 12, 2014 at 8:03 pm

Yup, I totally understand. Actually, they have a really amazing guarantee and it was a big reason I decided to try it. First, they have a special 200% life-time guarantee. Not the usual "30-day" stuff other companies have.

They also have a special "full refund + $100 cash back" guarantee. But, you can get the details at their site. I just wanted to make sure I didn't get scammed and I didn't - so, I'm happy :-)

Have you had any negative side-effects from it? Also, what else are you taking other than Choleslo?

    • Brad says:
      October 14, 2014 at 8:04 pm

No side-effects. I take it with food, so maybe you should do the same. It actually also improved my blood pressure too. So, that was a side benefit.

I'm taking fish oils. I actually get the Costco brand (which Dr. Robbins suggest). It's good quality and cheaper than most. I take about 5000 mgs daily, 5 pills and then my CholesLo of course.

Do you know if they ship globally? Where are you located? I live in Canada, but my parents live in the UK - I thought maybe I should get some for them as well. Thanks again for the informative post.

You're welcome Kovacs. Yes, they do ship globally, everywhere I think. I live in TX. They're one of the few companies that do ship internationally, so that's good for you and your parents.

PS - don't forget to post your results above in the comments section. And let me know if there's anything natural that's worked for you as well, or something like that.
